The Double Check – Leveraging Microsoft Best Practices for Information Governance & End User Adoption

“Rogue IT” decisions within your team or organization can diminish your Office 365 governance and processes. Heather takes you through research on why “Rogue IT” happens and shares resources for planning and executing an end-user adoption and governance strategy that will transform how your team uses Office 365.

Office 365 is likely part of your organization, in some – or in an extensive – capacity, and it’s raising interesting questions for information professionals. Love it or hate it, there is something significant going on with Office 365. Some interesting stats you can probably relate to:

  • According to Gartner, from 2014 to 2016 organizations using or planning to use Office 365 increased from 65% to 78%.
  • AIIM research shows that 55% of our respondents agree that getting users to manage and share their content in Office 365 and no place else is their biggest on-going issue, yet 36% say there are no set policies or procedures for managing content in Office 365.
  • And a study (conducted by Hyperfish, Sharegate, and Nintex) found 50% of organizations still use manual processes to enforce SharePoint governance.
