Though I live in Los Angeles, New York City is one of the cities where I spend a great deal of time, call home and that I’m always sad to leave and excited to visit. I was just there to celebrate World Pride and couldn’t love this city more, what a weekend, #everybodysaylove.
I’m thrilled to be presenting at my fourth SharePoint Saturday New York City on Saturday, July 27. Tom Daly and the organizing committee always do such a good job with the event, and it is always epic to be in the gorgeous Microsoft Office in Times Square in the heart of everything. The event has a SharePoint focus but will also cover the following topics: Office 365, Microsoft Teams, OneDrive, Azure, Power Apps, Flow, Yammer, and more.
The brilliant, Jon Levesque, Creator of Community. Engineer of Engagement. Keynote Speaker. Motivator. Problem Solver. Senior Program Manager on the Microsoft Flow product team will be our keynote, and he will speak on — What’s Possible for Organizations that Invest in Bottom Up Innovation.
I’ll be presenting two sessions: Without Change, There Would Be No Butterflies: 8 Steps to Microsoft Teams & Planner Metamorphosis. This session looks at how we all want to be more productive with deeper collaboration on any device at any time. We will run through how to build an end-user adoption campaign and review a checklist and steps to ensure new applications like Microsoft Teams and Microsoft Planner can be leveraged alongside SharePoint, OneDrive, and OneNote. Attendees will walk away with tips and tricks and scenarios for employee adoption of technologies to take back to their companies and teams.

This session goes deep into the building of — Trust-Based Corporate Culture: How to Kick Fear and Toxicity Out of the Workplace, A Practical Guide
Fear and toxicity are words that have no place in meetings, our workplace, or our lives. We live over half of our lives at work, and we all want to be productive, successful, and happy while we are there. Everyone wants to be appreciated and respected for the contributions we make to our jobs, careers, and organizations. Attendees will learn how to identify fear-based and toxic behavior, how to address these behaviors, and how to move towards a more trust-based work environment.
The session will dive into the topics of the lizard brain, impostor syndrome, doubt language, and the CYA email combined with action steps for each one to take back to your teams and organizations. Creating a healthy work environment is up to each one of us and leads to better collaboration and enhanced creativity that empowers everyone to be their best selves and to produce our best work. If you are attending with your co-workers, this is a pivotal session to attend as a group.
